Earthborn was founded in autumn of 2004 to provide large-scale movie making opportunities in central Connecticut. The goal is to produce, market, and distribute feature films within a free and fair democratic structure, in accordance with the principles of the International Cooperative Alliance. These principles are: voluntary cooperation, an organization open to all willing to accept responsibilities of membership, democratic methods, limited rates of interest, fair distribution of profit according to value of labor contributions, education in and promotion of techniques of labor cooperation, and active cooperation with other forces committed to the task of building a cooperative society of creative individuals.
Members share resources in forms of creative networking, joint research efforts, capital campaigning, group advertising/marketing, and other labor tasks.
