My Story (summarized)

I was born during a snow storm in April of `84. On that day I already knew what I was going to devote my life to. FILMMAKING . And a few other things here and there. So over the years until now I always tried to aim my life in that direction. Today I feel satisfied with my cinematic past, and believe that the future will bring better and bigger things.
My Story

I was born in a suburb of Montreal, Quebec in Canada. I spent the first fifteen years of my life in Montreal, and then I moved to Connecticut. (Those are the facts.)

When I was thirteen I drew my first animation. I was so impressed by the fact that I could make something become alive out of nothing but a pencil a sheet of paper and my imagination that I really hoped to become an animator. During the following years I kept playing with my father's HI-8 making very low quality stop-motion shorts.

When I was sixteen years old I took the summer off and headed back to Montreal. I spent most of my summer going from one film festival to another. At the Fantasia Film Festival I discovered the film Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part 4. Though I always wanted to make movies there had been something holding me back from trying to achieve my dream. When I saw Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part 4. I found hope that the film industry might not only be held by the billion dollar man, and that maybe there is hope for someone like me to become a filmmaker. Since then I've accomplished multiple projects, some of my own, some of others.

Living in Connecticut and not speaking good English made it difficult to gather people to create some videos, but as time passed, I found some people here and there and was able to start making movies.

What I liked (and still like) about animation is that you depend only on yourself to accomplish what you want. Making live action films, in most cases, you need other people, manpower, friends, comrades or a load of cash to buy yourself some.

What I love about Earthborn is that it's all about people working together for the same goal; making a certain project. What you need when making a movie is other people that WANT to make a movie, that way no matter what, you can't fail.

On Skunkophilia's The Revenge, (a script I wrote a week prior production,) there were only four people that lasted through the entire production, and if it wasn't for our similar goal the movie would never have been done. At the beginning it seemed that I was on top of things, but over time so many things went wrong that I was ready to give up. But the others kept on going and were able to pull me back into it. At the premiere I was very proud of all the pain and suffering we went trough to get it done. To know more about what I'm talking about, make sure to watch The Revenge documentary, coming out summer 2005.

What I hope to accomplish
with the Earthborn Film Cooperative:

Well, after hours of thinking about this, I realized that it's not at all complicated. I want to make movies with other people who want to take part in making movies. I want those movies to get out there with the rest of the elite. I want to create something that will allow anyone to take part in it. And though there will be stressful times and great struggles, I want to live it, and enjoy living it.

I believe that Earthborn will bring this alternative way of filmmaking out to other states and nations, and that more people will get together to create more Cinematic Masterpieces.
